Well, it's been a while since I've posted anything here. :p
I have an excuse though! Well, kinda. I've been working on this:
I actually have been working on this model for... umm... a little over a year, I think. Well, depending on your definition of "working". :p I worked on it for a good 2 months when I first started, but then real life reared its ugly head once again. (Well, that and TF2.) So I kinda stopped working on it for like... 6 months. But then I realized how long it had been sitting on my desk unfinished, and I decided that I had procrastinated long enough. So I've spent the past 4 or 5 months trying to finish it up. I actually finished testbuilding about 3 months ago, and I told people it would be publicly released within a few weeks. (Obviously, it wasn't.) Yeah, umm... sorry about that. >.< I had a lot more to fix than I had originally anticipated. But whatever, I'm done now.
But enough about me, let's talk about the model!
But enough about me, let's talk about the model!
This is Dog, from Half-Life 2, but I assume you already knew that. If you didn't know that... then leave the cave you have been living in and go play Half-Life 2. :O
- 18 pages
- 381 pieces
- 11.9" x 9.6" x 9.6" (30.1 cm x 24.3 cm x 24.3 cm)
Also, if you couldn't already tell, it's a pretty tough model. Definitely not a good craft for beginners. ;)
Now here's the part you've all been waiting for:
Thanks for your patience, everybody. ^_^

Excellent work!
Madre de dios. It actually happened.
And on Friday the 13th, too.
I'm scared.
Good work.
Honestly, I can't believe the dedication this must have taken to pull off. A job very well done, thank you.
You have done a glorious deed, sir. This is a win for everyone.
...
But mostly you.
(so cool >_<)
Sorry to post twice, but after having looked at the folder full of incredibly detailed instructions, and the unlocked PDO, I feel I have something more to add.
You have succeeded at life. Congratulations.
awesome
finally a version for all ;)
great work
this one comes to my "must build" list
Great job mate !!
It looks incredible !
Congratulations !! and go for more !
Not only does this look like a better model than Chamoo232's, but you're sharing it out to the public. Nice work Gollum!
que buen modelo mano, gracias
My most sincere apreciation and admiration on this great job.
I wanted it larger, is it ok if I share the .PDO for a .5m tall version? only way I have to share it is mediafire. I know you said their were some changes that you made to the PDF that were not reflected in the PDO,
@Anonymous:
I suppose that would be fine, although without my edits it will be a little tougher to build. The PDF version has a few things that the PDO doesn't:
Extended fold lines
Cleaned up tabs
Those little dots that show which way a piece is oriented
A few other random fixes
So if you build straight from the PDO, be sure to look out for those. Be especially careful of the orientation of some pieces. I guess you can still use the PDF if you need a reference. ;)
Also, another thing... As I'm sure you've noticed by now, the PDO has all of its pieces spread apart, so it's easier to see them. Because of this, Pepakura says that the model is a bit bigger than it really is. (i.e. Pepakura says that the model is 31.9 cm tall, even though it is about 30.1 cm tall when you assemble it.) So, if you want it to be 0.5 m, you will have to resize the PDO to approximately 0.53 m (530 mm).
And it's fine if you put it on Mediafire, but you might want to put a link to this page just so people can find the original model if they need it. ;)
It look like a wooden craft work. So impressive it is. Thanks for sharing this blog.

Cool. what program did you use to make it?
@Anonymous:
I used Blender to edit the model, and Pepakura to design the template.
Thank you so much for this model! I finished Dog sometime ago and never got the chance to show it off! I wish I could add pics on here!
Excellent work!
It looks incredible !
Congratulations !! and go for more !
