Nintendo Power Article on Papercraft

Yeah, papercrafting got mentioned in Nintendo Power.  They interviewed Ryo007, a fairly well known papercrafter.  Also, you may notice that one of the links that they reccomend at the end is www.nintendopapercraft.com.  :D

Here are the scans of the article:

So there you have it.  The end.

Trophy Stand

Ahh, crud.  I totally forgot about this model.  Now my count is all messed up.  Oh well...
I really don't remember which number model this was... somewhere between 5th and 10th.

This is a trophy stand from Super Smash Bros.  That's it.

Anyway, Brandon from the Nintendo Papercraft forums gave me the textures, so he gets the credit for that. :p  It is designed to go with Red Yoshi's Brawl models.

Unfortunately, I never built it, (that's why I forgot about it,) so I don't have a picture. :(

Pitfall

This is my eighth model, a Pitfall.  It originally came from Animal Crossing, but it also appeared as an item in Super Smash Bros Brawl.

Gyroid

Here's my sixth (I think) model, a Gyroid from Animal Crossing.
Someone on the Nintendo Papercraft forums requested it, so I went ahead and made it!

Smash Bros. Capsule

Here's the Capsule item from the Super Smash Bros. games.
This was my 6th or 7th model... and it's pretty close to life-size.

Paper Mario

Okay, this one was made for more of a joke. :p
Paper Mario!

Well... at least it's easy, right?

I guess you can't really say that I "designed" this myself, but I did edit the picture myself.  XD

Impossible Triangle Illusion

Okay, here is the official post for the Impossible Triangle.  I posted the link a few posts ago, but I realized that I should probably have a more "official" post for it, with pictures and whatnot.  So here you go.  I'll just go ahead and copy that other post's pictures...

I'm sure most of you guys have seen the impossible triangle illusion, but have any of you seen it made into a papercraft?  Yeah, this is the first papercraft that I made by myself, and I think it turned out pretty well!  Of course, there are some small problems since it was my first model, but it's not that bad.

You can download it
here.

I may post an updated version some day... but I can't promise anything.

For realz!

Okay, I'm seriously going to start updating this blog.  I have a bit of free time, so I figured I had better do what I said Iwould do months ago.

Anyway, before I get into the official posts, I did want to make note of one thing:  I am now part of the staff at Nintendo Papercraft!  Yay!  Officially, my job is to be a Blogposter, a.k.a. someone who posts a craft when Drummyralf (the main owner) is away.  But, since that doesn't happen too often, I also am a Moderator on the forum!  So... yeah.  Basically, I'm supposed to help people out, make people follow the rules, etc.  It's pretty cool.

So... I guess that's it.  The main reason I wanted to get this blog started is because I've got a few projects that I'm working on, (really big projects,) but I wanted to have my old models posted here before I posted my new ones.

Oh yeah, one last thing:  I'll also be posting my tutorials here.  Most of them are about how to design your own models.  So keep an eye out.

An Update (Finally)

Okay, if you were one of the few people who knew about this blog, you may have noticed that I haven't posted anything. Yeah. I've been working on a lot of things. But I have made a decision about this blog.

I originally had an idea for this blog. I was going to post every good papercraft I could find, but then put a mirror to the file, (because many had broken links,) some tips for building it, some reference pictures, etc. It was a good idea, but it would basically take an hour or two every day to compile everything for every file. I don't have that kind of time. Or rather, I do have that kind of time, but I'd rather spend it on more important things. :p

But anyway, I'm not going to delete this blog. I considered it for a second, but I realized a better purpose. Now, this blog is solely for my own custom papercrafts and stuff like pics of my collection. I've made about 10-ish papercrafts by hand, although most of them have never been released because I never finished editing.

So, if I can get a spare moment or two, I'll start fixing some of my models so I can put them here. So, start looking forward to some updates soon. For reals this time.

Getting Started

Sorry it's taken me so long to get this started, (although I doubt anyone has read it so far,) but I have an explanation. Many of the models I find have a few glitches here and there, and other models tend to disappear. So, I've been looking for a good file hosting service. Well, today I found one. MediaFire. It looks like exactly what I've been looking for. I was considering using Adobe SHARE, but I didn't know enough about it and it's still in beta stage.

Anyway, I was looking for a file hosting service that basically had virtually no download restrictions. MediaFire is what I was looking for; no bandwidth limit, no file expiration, etc. The only real limit is 100MB max per file, but I really don't care about that because I don't plan on uploading any humongous files that I can't split or compress. I think that you have infinite storage, too. So... yeah.

So, here's the first papercraft! It's one that I made myself; the impossible triangle illusion. This is the first papercraft that I made myself, so expect a few mistakes. You can see pictures and a video of it on The Blog.

Intro

Hey, it's me. As many of you know, I'm into making models out of paper, or papercraft. Well, I recently found about 50+ awesome new models on this one forum. I also have been making a few models of my own. So, instead of posting them on my other blog, The Blog, I decided to create a new blog dedicated solely to papercrafts. I will still be putting papercraft updates on my other blog as well, but they'll probably just be a picture and a link to the post on this blog.

Anyway...

This blog is going to be mainly for Nintendo papercrafts, but if I find something non-Nintendo that is really awesome, I'll put that here too. I will NOT post about every papercraft I find. There are plenty of blogs that already do that. This is only for papercraft that I really like and my own creations. Feel free to send me links to papercrafts, but I won't guarantee that I'll post about them. But I always enjoy finding new models, so give me the link if you think I'll like it.
